Persona 5 Strikers, the musou-styled spin-off of Persona 5, is finally coming to the west localized in English. A leaked Persona 5 Strikers trailer initially spoiled the surprise, but now Atlus is revealing that more information is on its way.

Persona 5 Strikers follows Persona 5, set about six months after the events of the original game. Switching away from the original RPG format, the gameplay is closer to that of the Warriors series, with massive swaths of enemies to be slashed down on the map by the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

Fans now know that Persona 5 Strikers is set to release in February 2021, where it will be made available for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and surprisingly, even the PC. However, outside of a short teaser trailer featuring English voice acting, not much else has been revealed about the game to audiences in the west. That's apparently going to change very soon, though, as Atlus has now announced that 'all' will be revealed on December 8.

The announcement was made via Atlus' official Twitter account, with a link to the official site for the game. Currently, no information is available on the site, simply a teaser image, though that will presumably change on December 8. Exactly what Atlus has planned to reveal during that time is unknown, though specific details about gameplay, new characters, and the plot are likely on the list.

While diehard Persona 5 fans already know the general gist of the plot of Persona 5 Strikers, officially translated information coming soon is likely very exciting for the fandom. Persona 5 fans have been left in the lurch for months, wondering if the game would be translated into English at all, as Atlus offered no teasers or announcements. Leaked documents revealed translation plans for Persona 5 Strikers, but until now, there had been no official announcement.

While some fans may have been doubtful about Persona 5 Strikers reaching western shores, there was likely no need to be concerned. In addition to receiving a Game Awards 2020 nomination, Persona 5 Royal - the expanded version of the original game - performed exceedingly well in Japan and overseas alike. In addition, gamers worldwide have shown that they're eager to play Warriors-styled games, as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity's popularity has exceeded any other musou game to date.

In the meantime, it has yet to be seen if this is the final story of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. Atlus hasn't announced Persona 6 yet, which would presumably follow a new cast of characters, as with prior Persona games. A teaser previously hinted at the possibility of DLC for Persona 5 Strikers, but as of yet, nothing has been officially announced.

Persona 5 Strikers is set to release on February 23, 2021 for PC, PS4, and Switch.
