This week, Atlus released a brand new trailer for Persona 5 Scramble on its YouTube channel that puts the character Haru front and center. This coincides with a series of previous trailers that are released every week on Fridays that feature prominent members of the Persona 5 cast.

Persona 5 is a popular turn-based RPG that was released to worldwide critical acclaim back in 2017 and is the first new installment of the main Persona series to be released within the last eight years. Following the success of Persona 5, numerous spin-offs were subsequently released, including a rhythm game, an animated series, and the two new games that are set to release sometime next year. This includes the aforementioned Persona 5 Scramble and Persona 5 The Royal, a revamped version of the main game with additional content, whose North American release date was recently announced at the beginning of December.

Persona 5 Scramble is a fighting game that is set in the style of Hyrule Warriors and other similar games. This new gameplay trailer features a lot of combat scenes that focus on Haru and what her character can do.

Another aspect the trailer showcases quite well is the story scenes featuring the main Persona 5 cast. It appears that just like the main game, Persona 5 Scramble will feature these cutscenes to complement the main gameplay. These scenes are the newest addition to the large amount of story content that has already been shown off in other gameplay trailers and screenshots.

Having said all of this, there still are some fans out there that are considerably disappointed that the teased title Persona 5 S didn't turn out to be the Nintendo Switch port of Persona 5 that most fans were expecting. For such a popular game being isolated to one system, it would have given so many more players the opportunity to experience this incredible game.

However, suffice it to say, this new Personaspin-off game looks to scratch the itch that most players have been feeling ever since beating Persona 5. This game appears to deliver on many fronts in terms of an added story and re-structured gameplay mechanics. It might not be what fans were hoping it to be, but it seems that ever since Persona 5 Scramble was first announced, more and more fans have started to warm up to this game and look forward to its release.

Persona 5 Scramble is set to release on February 20th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
