There are a ton of different mythologies that contribute to the roster of personas in the eponymous Persona series, all stemming from across the globe, including Hindu, Babylonian, and European lore, as well as much more. One of the most prevalent is Norse mythology, hailing from Scandinavia and other parts of northern Europe.

The Allfather of the Norse pantheon is Odin One-Eye, patriarch of Thor, and many others. Odin appears in as powerful a form in Persona 5 Royal as he does in his native mythology. He focuses on unleashing myriad storms of Electric attacks accompanied by some great assets. His Bargain Bolts trait reduces the cost of his SP-expensive lighting attacks. These are also buffed by his passive skill Elec Amp, that powers up Electric attacks by 50% for huge damage at low cost. Players will find that he has only a few fusion recipes, and all are rather pricey considering his worth in combat.

Oberon & Regent - $134,182

king of the fairies and a teasure demon

There are occasions where the fusion components for Odin match up with lore or in-game stats in terms of similarities. Oberon is a king of the fairies from English mythology, noted for being a character in the popular Shakespearian play A Midsummer Night's Dream. Much like Odin, he possesses great Electric attacks, though not as many or as powerful.

Regent is a treasure demon found in random encounters, almost like a Pokemon. One that possesses an object in an eerie manner. It is based on a rare and expensive 141-carat diamond found in India, and this rarity translates into its Persona appearance. Since it has a wide variety of skills and interesting traits it can be handy in the early game, though beyond that its awful stats and low-tier skills render it only useful as fusion material. Be warned that a fusion from these two does not have a guaranteed chance to form Odin, due to Persona 5 Royal's somewhat mysterious fusion system.

Surt & Uriel - $388,108

a powerful being from norse mythology and an angel from christian mythology in persona 5 royal

An interesting pairing for fusing Odin is Surt, a mighty being also from Norse mythology, combined with the archangel Uriel from Christian mythology. Surt is said to have created the stars with his burning blade, which is reflected in his trait and passive skills which boost his Fire attack damage in a similar way that Odin's do for his Electric attacks.

Uriel is depicted in Christian lore as one of the four highest-ranking archangels in heaven's hierarchy alongside his brothers Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. Appropriately, this winged warrior has a powerful Almighty skill that deals severe damage to all enemies.

Baal & Hope Diamond - $244,414

a canaanite god and a treasure demon in persona 5 royal

Rightly, there are some fusions for the Norse god that are comprised of deities from other mythologies. Baal, a Canaanite god of fertility appears in such a manner. This god brings with them a severe wind that can cut all adversaries to ribbons with their Vaccum Wave skill.

The other half of this fusion, Hope Diamond, is essentially a higher-level version of Regent and functions very much the same. These personas are tricky to catch, so it may take some patience to acquire one. This is another fusion that is not guaranteed to produce Odin.

Cybele & Alilat - $388,108

a greek goddess next to an arabian one in persona 5 royal

Two goddesses combine to form a god in this fusion. Cybele is a deity from Greek mythology who is known as a protector of cities. As a persona in the Priestess Arcana, she appropriately has many healing skills, such a Salvation, which fully heals and restores the statuses of the entire party.

Manifesting in a very different video game form is Alilat, an Arabian goddess of the desert. Deserts are scorching hot in the day but can become freezing cold at night. Alilat specializes in Ice skills that can freeze foes, though also has great defensive buffs.

Ardha & Uriel - $392,743

deity from hindu mythology and an archangel from christian lore in persona 5 royal

In a fusion involving another noticeable fusion, there is the recipe that is Ardha and Uriel. Ardha is the combination of the Hindu god Shiva and his wife, Pavarti. This was not a concept created by Persona 5, however. They are a dual-gender god in the Hindu pantheon, which indicates the concept of supernatural fusions dating back long before video games did it.

Ardha has the kind of skills one would expect from a god, particularly God's Hand, which unleashes colossal Physical damage on a single foe, and Salvation, which fully heals one's entire party. Uriel the archangel once more makes a suitable fusion partner for creating the divine Odin.

Ongyo-Ki & Abaddon - $390,700

an oni from japanese mythology and a demon from hebrew mythology in persona 5 royal

Here two underworld beings fuse to create Odin in an odd twist of lore. Ongyo-Ki is an oni from Japanese mythology who is said to be the creator of ninjutsu. Most of his skills are beneficial passives that grant him less damage from incoming attacks as well as other convenient buffs.

In Abrahamic mythology, Abaddon is usually referred to as an angel of the abyss or a demon, possibly associated with Satan. In addition to many absorbable elements (Physical, Guns, and Curse), this gaping maw of a monster has powerful Physical attacks, particularly Gigantomachia, which does colossal damage to all adversaries.

Metatron & Gabriel - $399,160

two angels from christian mythology in persona 5 royal

Two angels fusing to make a god seems like a logical decision regarding this game's mechanics. Metatron in Christian mythology is known as the voice of God, tasked with speaking their words to humankind. This angel has suitable skills that represent their origin in that they can use Bless and Almighty oriented attacks and passives, including Divine Judgement, which halves the remaining HP of any individual target.

Gabriel, noted in multiple Abrahamic religions, is usually seen as the left hand of God, opposite of Michael, their fellow archangel. Conversely, she can sometimes be depicted as female, like in Persona 5. This angel has a varied skillset, though her trait, Relentless, focuses on taking advantage of an enemy's weakness by increasing damage of that type by a sizable 50%.

Futsunushi & Uriel - $402,175

japanese sword deity and a christian archangel in persona 5 royal

Two excellent offensive forces meet here to make the mighty Odin. Futsunushi is the Japanese personification of the sword and is represented accordingly by being surrounded by floating blades. He has some of the greatest buffs for Physical attacks in the game that can stack to give his already devastating Brave Blade skill 7.5 times the damage.

Uriel, sometimes referred to as the Flame of God, also backs a huge punch with skills like Megidolaon, which delivers severe Almighty damage to every enemy.

Mada & Asura - $399,862

two power beings from buddist mythology in persona 5 royal

Considering the Allfather's destructive power, no one can complain about him being a fusion of two mighty beings from Buddhist mythology. Mada is a fiend with a mouth so tremendous that they are said to be capable of swallowing the heavens and the earth in one bite. They wield many destructive Fire attacks in which to annihilate enemies.

Asura, from multiple religions in eastern and southern Asia, is often depicted as a demon or a minor deity of great ferocity. They have excellent passive skills which grant them a high chance to counter a Physical attack and complete immunity to Mental status ailments.

Mother Harlot & Shiva - $401,959

representation of a sin in christian mythology and a hindu go in persona 5 royal

Although Odin is a god, he got up to some crazy shenanigans and wasn't completely free from having done ill deeds. Therefore having Mother Harlot as a fusion component is not stretching the lore too far. She is a figure from Abrahamic mythology that represents carnal sins and lust. In addition to her great Ice attacks, she has a passive skill that grants her the ability to repel Bless type attacks, allowing this persona to negate their only weakness.

Shiva is a major deity in the Hindu pantheon and is known as the god of destruction. Appropriately, he can use a magical armory of skills including those that dole out Psychic, Almighty, Gun, and Electric damage. Accompanied by cobras for clothing, and a weapon in each of his four hands, he makes for a persona most don't want to mess with.
