Many new players have gotten the opportunity to play Persona 4 Golden thanks to its recent steam release. What some players may not know is that there are many different endings that players can get depending on the choices they make throughout their playthrough.
One of these endings is known as the Accomplice Ending. This ending allows players to abandon their efforts to stop the serial killer using the TV world to kill their victims and instead team up with them.
Players should note that the following guide will contain spoilers for the identity of the killer in Persona 4 Golden due to needing to pursue a social link with them.
The first step to starting the route toward the Accomplice Ending can be started after May 13th. Then, players can begin the Jester arcana social link with Tohru Adachi who can be found at the entrance of Junes.
From this point, players should pursue this social link like any normal social link up until rank 6. Past this point, players may notice that Adachi will stop being available to pursue social links with anymore. However, the social link is now available to rank up normally through story events like the Star arcana social link.
To reach rank 7, players must complete the Heaven dungeon. The social link will go up automatically afterward. Rank 8 will additionally automatically be received on December 3rd. Players should note that they can't push Taro Namatame into the TV World to get this far.
The big deciding factor for this ending will come on December 5th. When deciding on a culprit for the murders, players need to choose Tohru Adachi. However, players must then select the option to protect Adachi. They must not tell their other party members by any means.
The game will now automatically skip to March 20th. Players will automatically be sent to talk to Adachi. To keep pursuing the Accomplice Ending, players should pick the following dialogue options when talking to him.
- "Did you do it?"
- "No."
- "No."
- "I'm on your side."
- "Yes."
- Set fire to the letter.
The Jester social link will now max out and players will get a special animated cutscene for the Accomplice Ending after the credits. Now the murders will never be solved and the protagonist will always have blackmail against them from Adachi.
