In Persona 3 players may take on a number of optional requests from their Velvet Room Attendant (either Theodore or Elizabeth, depending on a decision at the beginning of the game), and these requests supply players with a number of valuable items and unlockables, including new fusions in some cases.
One such request they can offer players of Persona 3 is request 73, which requires players to get some Pine Resin for them. This is an item that is easily missed and can only be found under very specific circumstances, so this guide will break down how to locate Pine Resin for request 73.
Finding Pine Resin
Players will get access to the Pine Resin request on 4/30, but it's impossible to complete until exactly 5/7. No sooner and no later, due to the item needed being available only on 5/7. Pine Resin is used by the Archery Club for bow maintenance, as Elizabeth/Theodore mentions when the request is accepted, so players will need to get some help from a Club Member if they want to get hold of some Pine Resin.
If only our protagonist knew someone who was on the Archery Team, maybe someone who wears Pink, uses a bow in combat, and is named Yukari. Oh wait, they do! Yukari is the person players will need to speak to in order to get hold of the Pine Resin, but she'll only be able to supply it to the player on 5/7, since she only tends to have it with her right after practice. Speak to Yukari in the dorm on 5/7 to get hold of the Pine Resin for Elizabeth/Theodore.
Once the Pine Resin has been acquired players just need to go hand it in to Elizabeth/Theodore to complete the request and acquire a very handy reward. The bow Elizabeth/Theodore grants players for completing this request, the "Siren's Song", is a 55 Attack and 88 Hit chance bow that has a low chance of causing foes to Panic.
The Panic status is a very dangerous status effect that locks enemies out of casting spells and also slightly increases the chance of critical hits when attacking them, making this bow an excellent way for Yukari to deal some extra damage and set up enemies for attacks from the rest of the party, though it falls off in the lategame when bows with higher stats and more powerful effects become available.
