The question that's been on many gamers' minds has been whether the game adaptation of James Cameron's Avatar will live up to the hype put in place at this year's E3 or if it will end up with the same fate as most movie-based games. It seems that we may find out sooner rather than later.

While we were teased with some gameplay footage last week, Gamer Limit has just reported that a demo of Avatar has become available along with some other swag including videos and wallpapers on the German Coca-Cola Zero website. This begs the question though: Is the demo solely in German? We'll just have to wait and see when the download is complete.

For those of you interested in grabbing the demo, just head over to the Coca-Cola Zero website and click on the Avatar promotion, followed by the download button. If you're German is a bit rusty, simply click here for an immediate download.

Though recent gameplay videos shed little light on the game, we at Game Rant can only hope that the graphics get an upgrade before the release. As for gameplay, it would be safe in assuming that it will be standard movie game fare. Who knows though. We may end up with another Wolverine: Origins on our hands which, I for one, wouldn't complain about.

You can expect Avatar to crash land onto PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and PSP on December 1, 2009.

Will you be downloading the demo? If so, how's your German?
