The Penny Arcade Expo is finally taking submissions for panels taking place during the re organized streaming event this September. Anyone with an idea for a panel is able to submit it the official website and, with success, will be part of the 9 day streaming event.

As with so many industry events typically open to the public, the Penny Arcade Expo has had to make major changes to the way its yearly event would occur with restrictions in place due to COVID-19. Organizers of the event decided to cancel the planned proceedings in favor of an online driven alternative that would also be extended in length from the events typical 4 day schedule.

While most submissions are for panels, the event is also accepting ideas for meetups and workshops. The major qualifier is that whatever is scheduled lasts an hour on the busy schedule PAX has planned and of course related to gaming. In the past this has involved panels abut specific games, gaming-driven websites or relevant topics about the industry as a whole.

PAX isn't the first event to have to make alternative plans. Many companies have had to switch to online pre-recorded or live events to discuss upcoming games. One of the first major reveals for the PlayStation 5 was released online through a digital talk with Mark Cerny, who discussed the technical possibilities of the upcoming console.

E3, which would usually occur in June was also cancelled earlier this year, forcing participating publishers to rethink marketing plans and spawned the start of The Summer Game Fest led by Geoff Keighley
