Nintendo has already brought several of its biggest game franchises to smartphones and tablets, including mobile versions of Animal Crossing and Super Mario. But which Nintendo series should get the mobile game treatment next? One very famous woman has a suggestion.

Over the weekend, reality star, socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton took to Twitter to weigh in on Nintendo's mobile gaming plans. "We need to get Nintendo Dogs as an app on the App Store!" she demanded, attaching a photo of the boxart for the Chihuahua and Friends version of Nintendogs that released on DS in 2005.

Hilton is known for her love of dogs and her chihuahua Tinkerbell was one of the most famous celebrity canines ever.  It only makes sense that the socialite wants to play a game that lets players take care of their puppy pals, feeding them, bathing them, teaching them new tricks, and taking them for walks outside.

Many of Hilton's Twitter followers seemed to agree that Nintendo should make a mobile version of Nintendogs, suggesting that it would be easy money for the company. Several of the replies thank the heiress for drawing attention to such an important issue with many believing that if anyone can get Nintendo to pay attention and make it happen, it's Paris Hilton.

Fans have been calling on Nintendo to make a mobile Nintendogs for quite some time, but could a tweet from Paris Hilton actually tip the scales? Hilton's support alone probably isn't a deciding factor, but it just so happens that the time is right for a Nintendogs mobile spin-off anyway.

A recent report suggested that Nintendo is looking to increase its mobile game development after Super Mario Run failed to achieve its expectations. A straightforward port of Nintendogs may not be the most inventive idea ever but since there is such high demand, it means that Nintendo could have a lot to gain by giving fans what they want.

It's unclear when a mobile version of Nintendogs may actually be released, though. Nintendo is still courting mobile developers and it's unknown whether it has finalized any deals yet. Therefore Nintendo may not have any teams prepared to develop Nintendogs for iOS or Android right now.

Nintendo is also currently working on The Legend of Zelda mobile game and the company may feel that this takes priority over a mobile Nintendogs. In any case, the seed has been planted and it seems that neither Nintendo fans, nor Paris Hilton will stop until the game is finally released.
