The Nintendo Switch gets another unique and exciting indie game today, as the murder mystery Paradise Killer is now available. Paradise Killer is a unique blend of open-world exploration and detective gameplay. Players take on the role of Lady Love Dies to investigate a number of murders that appear to have been done to prevent the creation of a literal paradise. Those interested can pick up Paradise Killer starting today on both PC and Switch.

To call Paradise Killer a unique experience would be a gross understatement. The game is based around an idea that a literal island paradise "regenerates" once every few millennia. It's an alternate reality "birthed" by a mysterious council. This event understandable draws all manner of mysterious figures, including demons, alien worshippers, and more. What happens when the council is murdered right before paradise is resurrected is up to the player to discover.

In terms of gameplay, players in Paradise Killer are tasked with exploring the island's open world searching for clues and interrogating the island's denizens. The process will involve Danganronpa-style first-person crime-scene investigations, curious puzzles, and court sessions to determine who is guilty. The influence of Ace Attorney is evident, as well. For murder mystery fans, Paradise Killer is worth checking out.

To help make for a great launch, Paradise Killer's developer Kaizen Game Works is discounting the game by 20% on Steam for its first two weeks. It'll be $15.99 on PC for the sales period, after which it will return to its full $19.99 price point. This is Kaizen's first game as an indie studio and the team is really hoping to make a splash. Early reviews are very positive and the game looks incredibly unique. All that's left is to see how much fans enjoy it.

Paradise Killer is available now on PC and Switch.
