The Hulu series Pam and Tommy, based on the real scandal involving Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, now has an official trailer.

Anderson and Lee married in 1995 after knowing one another for approximately four days. They went on to divorce three years later. Within the three-year time span, Anderson and Lee's relationship was tested by many issues, including a legal battle over a stolen tape from their honeymoon, which the Hulu series will focus on.

The released teaser for the Pam & Tommy series shows the beginning of this infamous legal battle. It begins with Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman as the two individuals responsible for selling and distributing the infamous tape of Anderson and Lee. In fast-forwarding through the stolen tape, glimpses of Anderson and Lee's lives are shown, including Anderson's run as C.J. Parker in Baywatch and Lee's rockstar lifestyle. Anderson and Lee struggle to share the same issues with the tape after they realize it's been released. In what seems to be a scene of Anderson suggesting Lee doesn't care about the tape in the same way she does, Lee reasons that he's on the tape, same as her. Anderson responds by saying, "No, not like me you're not."

The blatant disregard of Anderson and Lee's private moments make the real characters of Rand Gauthier (Rogen) and Milton Ingley (Offerman) the villains of Pam & Tommy. Hulu makes this clear in the short two-minute teaser, using conversations between Gauthier and Ingley to demonstrate their willingness to push the envelope. At one point, Ingley and Rand marvel at how private the tape is before Ingley goes on to not-so-subtly suggest the release and distribution of the tape to a public audience. Hulu's teaser ends with Anderson and Lee discovering the online leak of the tape for themselves.

Pam & Tommy features Lily James and MCU star Sebastian Stan as the lead roles of Anderson and Lee. Many have already been awed by the uncanny resemblance James and Stan share with Anderson and Lee through previously released behind-the-scenes photos. Hulu's teaser shows them in action and highlights James and Stan's voice work, which adds to the similarities to the real stars they are portraying.

Pam & Tommy director Craig Gillespie has worked with Stan before, as the pair previously collaborated on I, Tonya. Similarities between the Oscar-winning film and Pam & Tommy can already be spotted within the teaser, including Stan's portrayal of Lee. While the series is based on controversial circumstances, James and Stan have already demonstrated that they are putting on performances that no one would have expected from them.

Pam and Tommy will premiere on Hulu on February 2, 2022.
