Pac-Man World first released on October 15, 1999, for the original PlayStation. The game celebrated the franchise's 20th anniversary at the time and saw Pac-Man set off on an 3D adventure. The game begins with ghosts ruining Pac-Man's 20th birthday and kidnapping his friends and family. As a result, Pac-Man must traverse six distinct worlds to rescue his loved ones and defeat the ghosts of Ghost Island. Over 20 years later, Pac-Man World: Re-Pac reintroduces the tale across modern consoles and PC for new players to explore.
The latest trailer for Pac-Man World: Re-Pac compares the first two areas of the original Pac-Man World with the new, updated versions. Gameplay mechanics are fine-tuned and faithful to the original, but the visuals were completely upgraded in a similar manner to Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy. Additionally, the trailer shows that the game's original soundtrack remains intact for the new release.
