Overwatch has impressed players with its team-based first-person shooting mechanics, characters, and frequent updates. It has been five years since the game was released to critical acclaim and the team behind the game is still working on the title. The latest patch (1.47) fixes a whole host of issues that have been bugging players, and it also updates Echo who is the latest hero who has been added to the roster.

Many fans were excited to play as the robotic hero Echo who has innovative features such as the tri-shot, flight, and the ability to duplicate. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the voice of the character which was swapped for Reinhardt because of a bug. These bugs look to be remedied in the latest patch, and there is also a lot more fixes that will allow players to have a more seamless and enjoyable experience.

The Overwatch update fixes Junkart's weaponry accuracy statistic which was previously frozen at 100%, it also fixes an issue with Tracer where players would blink to an area of the map that they should not have access too. D.Va's mech had been known to spawn in the spawn room in the wrong direction and the character could "eject facing the wrong way during Self Destruct or Mech destruction." This has been fixed and so has Baptiste's Immortality Field disc which would look huge in his highlight intros. However, despite all these positive changes, most of the fixes are focused on Echo.

echo updates

Echo had been known to use the voices of other heroes and this issue has been rectified. On top of this, in CTF game mode had a bug that caused Echo to drop the flag when duplicate ends have been amended. Also when duplicating D.Va, the character had been known to "not respect the Toggle Booster option" and not speak, which have been resolved. There has been a lot of excitement around Echo and fans will be pleased that these issues are fixed.

There have been a few bugs that have been annoying fans of Overwatch and players will be happy to see them resolved. It will be interesting to see how much more support the title has with news of Overwatch 2 on its way. Either way, fans will be happy to play a game with significantly fewer bugs as they wait for a sequel.

Overwatch is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
