The Overwatch community has proven to be incredibly talented on several occasions, with Summer Games 2021 once again showing this to be true. Three different Overwatch fans have posted some stellar artwork to the game’s subreddit, with each piece focusing on one of the new skins.

Alongside the returning Lucio Ball, Overwatch’s Summer Games 2021 event adds eight new skins for gamers to collect. Mermaid Symmetra is one of these skins, with the sea-focused outfit fitting the Hardlight architect extremely well. She’s accompanied by an underwater version of Winston, while Hanzo represents his country through the Nihon skin. Pharah’s Sunset look gives her a unique hairstyle and colorful armor, while Orisa’s referee skin ensures that she could be trusted to intervene in a Lucio Ball match.

As for the other three skins, each has received some extra love from the artistic portion of the Overwatch fan base. First up is SillyGooseRobyn, a name that may be familiar to fans of the game. This is the same artist that came up with the Ice Cream Mei concept several months back. With Blizzard seemingly taking inspiration from their work, it is great to see the artist returning to put their spin on the official version. SillyGooseRobyn’s adorable art style suits this version of Mei, with the cartoony look doing a lot to make the Sprinkles skin stand out.

Next up is Scuba Sigma, a skin from Summer Games 2021 that has gotten the Overwatch community talking. A completely fresh look for Sigma, the design gives the 62-year-old hero some abs. Aside from a surprisingly defined physique, the outfit also throws some hair and a beard on Sigma. It seems like Afterlematch was enamored with the outfit, as they brought it to life through a unique minimalistic style. Sigma can be seen wearing the goggles that normally just rest on top of his head, which is a nice touch. With the skin themed around scuba diving, seeing the tank actually doing it is entertaining.

However, the most popular piece of Summer Games art thus far takes on a more realistic style. Created by Redditor LaraGates, the piece focuses on Ashe’s new Poolside skin. In the art, the hero is seen laying in the sun, with her straw hat and glasses protecting her from the light. The flower in the hat and wristbands can be seen, showing a great eye for detail. While Bob and Ashe’s squirt guns are not present, it is a nice to see her just laying back and enjoying a drink. With the new skin’s pink hair also included, the art is as accurate as it is gorgeous.

For those interested in collecting these skins, they have until August 10 to do so. With Summer Games 2021 still having almost three weeks left, gamers should have plenty of time to gather coins and open loot boxes.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
