Today, Blizzard has officially made Overwatch's Storm Rising event live, and those who take on the PvE story mission will be going after the dangerous Talon criminal Maximilien amid an impending hurricane with a strike team composed of Tracer, Winston, Mercy, and Genji. So, with this new Archives event available now, the team-based shooter's publisher and developer has decided to provide a look at all of the new skins one can acquire during the festivities.

Not every Overwatch hero will be getting their own skin to commemorate the game's Storm Rising event, but it appears as if Blizzard has made sure to provide a somewhat decent portion of the title's roster with some fresh duds. Only 5 members of Overwatch's original base roster from when it launched back in 2016 are represented with new Storm Rising skins, while another 4 skins go to some of the more recently added characters.

The 5 Overwatch characters from the original base roster from 2016 getting the new Storm Rising event skins are McCree, Soldier: 76, Bastion, Junkrat, and Zarya. The newer characters to receive skins for this Archives event are Moira, Ashe, Baptiste, and Hammond. Those interested can get a closer look at the skins and their names below.

As previously mentioned, those who wish to take part in Overwatch‘s Storm Rising event can do so starting today, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, with the action occurring in Overwatch’s take on Havana. Should some players not be able to experience it on day one, it's worth noting that the event will be active for some time thereafter, ending on May 6, 2019.

Storm Rising is a part of the Overwatch Archives series of events, which feature PvE co-op missions with an emphasis on story material. They often focus on younger versions of the characters before the disbanding of the Overwatch organization. For those who want even more Archives action, the past missions of Overwatch Uprising and Overwatch Retribution should also be playable alongside Storm Rising.

Overwatch is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
