A new challenge has just arrived on Overwatch, bringing several new cosmetics for players to earn. This time it features the barefoot master of gravity, Sigma, and completing all of the requirements will net players a musically-themed Legendary skin.

With the introduction of challenges, such as Ashe's Mardi Gras Challenge, players have new ways to earn cosmetics for their favorite characters instead of having to rely on luck through loot boxes. The game's newest challenge, Sigma's Maestro Challenge, was just implemented today, July 14, and will run until July 27.

During this time, players can earn various cosmetics for the character just by playing the game, including icons and a fresh new emote. When a player earns 9 wins through Quick Play, Competitive Play, or Arcade, they will receive the Maestro Sigma skin. Sigma is known for being a bit of a music aficionado, but with this skin, he really looks the part.

For even more musical cosmetics, fans can check out Twitch. By watching any Twitch streamer playing Overwatch between now and July 27, players can earn 6 Sigma Maestro sprays. Additionally, Blizzard is continuing the music theme by releasing a new soundtrack called Overwatch: Cities & Countries, which features the many Overwatch map themes and missions throughout the game. It is available now through a variety of streaming services.

Sigma was introduced around this time last year and became hero 31 shortly after. Players were happy to have another tank added to the roster, especially one that could provide shields for the squishier characters in the game. In the beginning, the biggest question about the character was why he didn't wear shoes, but later Sigma sparked controversy when fans got their answer and it caused backlash over the depiction of mental illness. Since then, the issue has died down and players have come to appreciate Sigma and all his quirks.

The sequel, Overwatch 2, is still chugging along in development and with all of the cosmetics players have accumulated, Blizzard hopefully intends to let them transfer their collections when the time comes. With all of the challenges and seasonal events, those collections continue to bulk up. If the developer does end up limiting what carries over, there are definitely certain Overwatch skins that should return in the sequel.

If it's been a while since popping into the game, and if the reason for leaving had to do with cheaters, take heart in knowing that Blizzard has done a lot to remedy that issue. The company recently banned thousands of Overwatch accounts in an attempt to clean up the game. Over 30,000 accounts were banned for cheating or other game violations, such as bad behavior. This makes for a more welcoming environment for legit players and should hopefully bring more of them back.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
