Overwatch has managed to keep players entertained through its satisfying gameplay and frequent updates. The March 19 PTR Update excited many players because they could use a new character called Echo. However, one of the most famous characters from Overwatch has had a significant upgrade. Tracer, who appears on the cover of the game and a lot of its promotional material, now has some added power to an already impressive set of skills.

The team-based first-person shooter, Overwatch, managed to capture the attention of audiences when it was originally released in 2016 and its characters kept players coming back. Updates have improved on the original game and it still has a large fanbase who is eager for more content from Overwatch. The most recent update saw changes to Tracer that take an already impressive skill cap to another level.

Tracer's Blink is now more accurate but it is also allowing players to get to new areas of the maps that they are playing in. The patch notes stated there was "Improved the accuracy of Tracer’s blink movement such that Tracer will more likely end up where the crosshair is pointing." Many fans were pleased with this news and it fell in line with other Overwatch characters receiving improvements. Despite Blizzard noting, "Tracer cannot blink over an obstacle which she otherwise cannot jump over normally, with the jump originating from Tracer’s height at the start of the blink movement", the gamer Danteh managed to do some impressive moves with the character.

There is frequent debate about which are the best Overwatch characters and this is because of changes that happen to characters through updates. It will be interesting to see if Tracer's blink is changed at a later date as it looks like an advantageous ability at the moment. At the moment, Tracer would likely be a favored character and many may play as her again after they finish experimenting with Echo.

The future looks promising for Overwatch with rumors of an anime and a sequel on the horizon. Yet it is the frequent updates that have kept fans engaged and if they continue to explore new territory like this one, players will likely be satisfied. There is no guarantee that the improved blink ability will last forever, but many players will be taking advantage of it while they can.

Overwatch is currently available and can be played on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
