Overwatch has been an excellent example of what good post-launch support should look like. Blizzard regularly adds new content to the game and frequently runs limited time events, like the Year of The Pig event that's currently running. It seems Blizzard has no intention of slowing down either, as another new map has just been added to the game's test servers.

The new map will take Overwatch players to Paris, and it appears to be among the more interesting levels to be implemented into the game. Matches on the map kick off in the Cabaret Luna, where players will then push their way through the tight city streets. Artisan shops are scattered throughout the map, which players can use to dodge enemy fire. Players will eventually push all the way to the Seine river to take the first capture point, and then to the Maison Marat for the final point.

Of course, Blizzard had to put in a few icons from the City of Lights, so players will be able to admire the Eiffel Tower as they take the Seine capture point. They shouldn't linger too long though, as the area appears to be an easy location to get booped off the edge of the map.

Paris is the first new piece of content to be released since Ashe was introduced a few months ago at Blizzcon. Blizzard's steady churn of free content updates has set an impressive new standard in the games industry, and other competitors, like Battlefield V, are starting to adopt a similar model of regular free content updates.

However, there have been rumors of Activision's increased influence having a negative effect on the developer. Blizzard has reportedly been paying developers who quit the company, which is a good benefit for employees, but admittedly sounds a bit baffling from the outside looking in. Despite this, Blizzard seems committed to keeping Overwatch players hooked on the game with updates like the Paris map. Hopefully, there will be even more fun stuff on the horizon for the FPS game.

Overwatch is available now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
