Observant Overwatch players have noted their favorite Talon scientist Moira has some new lines and interactions with specific characters. The last patch for Overwatch was on November 9, and has no mention of this new content.

A video compiling the voice lines was posted to the Overwatch subreddit by user Spktra with credit to @CalebGamerOW. It's a brief video with three new interactions from the former Blackwatch agent with some of her contemporaries.

Interaction #1

Baptiste: "Healing and hurting... I guess we're not that different."

Moira: "I assure you, we are nothing alike."

Interaction #2

Junkrat: "You looking for a lab assistant? I'm great with chemicals."

Moira: "Certainly. We would begin by testing your tolerance for pain."

Junkrat: "Oh, what's pain have to do with science?"

Moira: "Everything, my strange little friend."

Interaction #3

Hanzo: "I have heard of your experiments. There is no honor in what you do."

Moira: "Shimada...where do I know that name from? Oh, that's right...the family of criminals."

Interactions like these are what breathe life into the Overwatch universe. Outside of the rare comic and special event, there's not much in the way of story in the primarily PvP shooter. So when little bits and bobs like this appear, fans will quickly latch on and try to fit the new pieces into the larger puzzle. Overwatch 2, with more PvE elements, is rumored to have more of an emphasis on the story and will progress the ongoing narrative, but its release is an unknown at this time. Until then, fans will need to subsist on the far less substantial crumbs that are new voice lines.

Moira was added to Overwatch on November 16, 2017, as a support hero. While she has former ties to the heroic organization of Overwatch, her character has been anything but heroic with ties to the shadow organization Blackwatch and the criminal enterprise known as Talon. Without delving into too many spoilers, Moira has been connected to some truly dastardly deeds involving other characters in the popular shooter. What's clear is that in these interactions, Moira has a reputation and it's known to a wide variety of people within the Overwatch universe. How this impacts the universe at large is debatable. How effective can a secret organization be if people like Hanzo know what its top members are up to? Or, is it a matter of him being so well informed, that he should know matters like this?

No matter what the implications are, it's still a fun new bit for fans to chew on and mull over. Until a new Overwatch comic or story cinematic is released, fans will have to make the most of this latest series of interactions.

Overwatch is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
