Overwatch fans are always coming up with clever ways to show their appreciation for the game’s heroes. One fan has done something a bit special, however, as they have created a huge lineup of Overwatch magazine covers.

Usually, fan art for Overwatch takes the form of skin suggestions, with a recent piece of concept art depicting Mercy as a Lifeguard. This ensures that a jump to magazine covers is a big change from the norm, though that has added to the art in a major way. Created by Reddit user domino_jack01, the covers are described as a “personal project.” Fortunately, the Redditor has allowed fans to get a glimpse at their work, which features 12 different magazine covers.

Each of these Overwatch art pieces focuses on one specific hero, with characters from every role being shown some love. Alongside individual shots of each magazine, the fan includes a collage of all twelve pieces. This lets fans get a good look at the entire project, with the different colored covers looking great next to each other. The fan is smart to match the colors to the specific heroes, too, adding to their quality. At the top of each one, the game’s logo can be seen, with a specific hero and phrase positioned on each. Given that she is the mascot of the game, it is not too shocking that Tracer kicked off this lineup.

Her magazine article talks about living with chronal dissociation, a neat nod to Tracer’s lore. This continues with the other posters, as domino_jack01 gives each character a proper article to go with their cover photo. As a result, every piece feels like a proper magazine, adding a lot to the project. Lucio’s magazine discusses his music, while D.Va’s career as a pro gamer serves as the main focus of her article. Widowmaker discusses her role as an assassin in her issue, while Junkrat and Roadhog talk about their lives as criminals. Mei rounds out the top row, with her article talking about the events of her Overwatch animated short.

The next row begins with a more villainous character, as support hero Moira talks about creating fellow Talon member Reaper. Ana talks about her past as an Overwatch agent, while Genji brings up his cyborg body and Zenyatta’s teachings. Unsurprisingly, Sigma’s article covers gravity, while Reaper’s piece is centered on all the mystery tied to the character. The final poster looks at Overwatch’s most recent hero addition, as Echo speaks of Dr. Mina Liao. As is usually the case with clever posts, the game’s community came together to praise domino_jack01 for their hard work.

With Blizzard bringing Lucio’s cereal to life, perhaps fans will be able to read a real Overwatch magazine one day. For now, though, this fan’s spectacular post is the closest gamers can get.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
