Blizzard Entertainment's team-based shooter Overwatch has in part kept its relevance thanks to the esport Overwatch League (OWL). Though multiple OWL events have been canceled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, skins for various characters based on individual teams are still available to purchase.

Those special skins based on OWL teams, who stream matches exclusively through YouTube thanks to a deal that also netted the social media video sharing site Activision's Call of Duty League, can be purchased through tokens. On Friday, the official OWL Twitter account announced that players can claim 100 tokens for free on PC or console by signing up for the League's email service.

The offer gives players the equivalent of a $4.99 purchase through the store, which is enough tokens to purchase a single skin for their favorite official Overwatch esports team. By signing up before the offer expires on April 29, 2020, players can expect to receive their OWL tokens before May 6.

Not long ago, multiple OWL players from the Los Angeles and San Francisco teams were fined for typing obscenities in an official match chat.

Overwatch is currently available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
