After London Spitfire defeated Philadelphia Fusion to win the first Overwatch League Grand Finals, Blizzard revealed what fans can expect from the league's next big event. The Overwatch League All-Star Weekend will take place from August 25 to August 26 in Los Angeles, California, and it will bring with it brand new All-Star skins for Overwatch fans.

So far, Blizzard has only revealed two All-Star skins Overwatch fans can expect from the All-Star Weekend, but it's possible that more could be revealed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, fans can check out the All-Star skins for Genji and Tracer right here:

This isn't the first time Blizzard has released new skins tied to the Overwatch League. In fact, Overwatch players have been able to purchase skins based on their favorite teams, and were even able to select one skin for free. There was some controversy that these skins were purchased with League Tokens as opposed to Overwatch's other in-game currency (which is primarily used to purchase loot boxes), but the Overwatch League was no stranger to controversy over the course of its first season.

There were multiple controversies regarding the Overwatch League this past season, with many involving player misconduct. One of the most notorious examples was Felix “xQc” Lengyel, who was suspended from his Dallas Fuel team twice, and then eventually left the team entirely. Lengyel's first suspension came about after he used homophobic insults against an openly gay opponent, and his second was when he used "disparaging language" and a "racially disparaging emote" while streaming.

Other players were hit with suspensions, fines, and various other disciplinary actions over the course of the Overwatch League's first season, but that is to be expected from any kind of professional sport. It will be interesting to see if season 2 will have as many issues with player misconduct, and if it will be bringing some new skins to the table for fans to get their hands on.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
