Overwatch's King's Row Uprising event isn't supposed to start until Tuesday, April 11th, but it appears as though the Xbox Store has prematurely revealed the event's new skins. For a brief period earlier today, the typical Overwatch box art was replaced by an image of Mercy, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and Tracer sporting new blue and silver armor.

The armor looks similar to the gear the characters were seen wearing in the recent Uprising comic, which must have been standard for the Overwatch team at the time. Even so, there doesn't seem to be anything that impressive about these skins, so it is likely that they will be cheaper and easier to obtain than some of the epic-tier skins that Blizzard surely has in store for the new event.

For example, we get a glimpse of a possible new Genji skin in the Overwatch Uprising comic that shows what his Blackwatch armor could have looked like. Genji's new skin is more elaborate than the four skins seen in the image below, and will likely be a higher-tier skin when the event kicks off on Tuesday, assuming it's being add to the game at all. We also know that a new Widowmaker skin is in the works, and since Blizzard has been keeping it under wraps, perhaps it will also be one of the more impressive skins in the event.

Beyond new skins, the image may also indicate a new look for the King's Row map. It's hard to tell, but it appears as though the four characters are standing in a sunnier version of King's Row, whereas the map is typically seen at night. There also seems to be fire and smoke in the background, which makes sense considering the event is about a violent Omnic uprising in London.

It's possible that players will be battling on a tweaked version of the King's Row map against AI-controlled enemies. Overwatch fans have been waiting for new PvE content since Junkenstein's Revenge last Halloween, and it seems as though this event would provide the perfect opportunity to bring more PvE to the game.

Of course, that's just speculation at this time. Unless there are more leaks, Overwatch fans will have to wait until Tuesday to learn what all the King's Row Uprising event is bringing to the table.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
