With Halloween quickly approaching, Overwatch has also gotten into the holiday spirit by kicking off its annual event. Halloween Terror 2019 sees the return of Junkenstein's Revenge, a PvE game mode where up to four players attempt to hold out against waves of enemies and a few boss battles mixed in as well. The event also comes with plenty of new and old Halloween character skins including a highly sought after, formerly exclusive skin for Sombra.

Last year for BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard revealed a new skin for the Overwatch hacker character Sombra, which turned her into the Demon Hunter from Diablo 3. As cool as the skin was, it was only available for players who managed to score a physical BlizzCon ticket or opted to purchase a Virtual Ticket. One year later, the Demon Hunter skin returns to Overwatch, though it is much more attainable for all players and won't require spending upwards of $50 first.

For this years Halloween inspired event, Blizzard is introducing challenges over the course of three weeks. Each week offers new prizes based on the amount of games won in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade. Week 3, which lasts from October 29 to November 4, players will need to win 9 games in total to unlock the legendary Demon Hunter Sombra skin. During this week, winning 3 games awards a Demon Hunter player icon, while 6 wins unlocks the Demon Hunter Sombra spray.

Yesterday kicked off the first week of challenges where 9 wins will unlock the Inferno Junkrat Skin, while next week will unlock the Vampire Baptiste skin in exchange for another 9 wins. Six additional skins are also available for those who don't mind a bit of chance through the loot box system. New skins for Tracer, Lucio, Widowmaker, Ana, Orisa, and Ashe turn these characters into all kinds of creatures such as a Will-O'-Wisp or Gorgon. Zenyatta players can also finally see the floating omnic monk actually stretch his legs and go for a walk through a new emote.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and the Switch.
