Following an accidental discovery of the new skin by a Reddit user, Blizzard officially announced the Demon Hunter Sombra skin for Overwatch. Released as a way to celebrate the upcoming BlizzCon 2018 event in November, the legendary-tier Demon Hunter Sombra skin is actually available right now.

Instead of unlocking the Demon Hunter Sombra skin in a loot box or buying it with in-game currency, the only way Overwatch players can get it is by either purchasing an actual BlizzCon ticket or a Virtual Ticket. Since the physical BlizzCon 2018 tickets are sold out, those wanting the skin will have to purchase the Virtual Ticket instead.

To buy a Virtual Ticket for BlizzCon 2018 and unlock the Sombra Demon Hunter skin, click here. However, be warned that getting a Virtual Ticket for BlizzCon 2018 won't come cheap. In fact, it costs $49.99, so anyone who wants to unlock the Demon Hunter Sombra skin will have to fork over more money than what the entire Overwatch game is currently being sold for at retail just for one skin.

Of course, it's worth pointing out that the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket won't just unlock the Demon Hunter Sombra skin. While that may be all Overwatch fans care about unlocking, it will also grant purchasers access to exclusive items in other Blizzard games as well, including titles like Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft.

In the meantime, BlizzCon 2018 should be an exciting time for fans of Blizzard's hero-based shooter for other reasons besides the Demon Hunter skin for Sombra. After all, it was at last year's event when Blizzard surprised fans with the reveal of the new support hero Moira, and so it stands to reason that this year's event could also see a new character announcement. Alternatively, maybe BlizzCon 2018 will be where Blizzard announces a new map for Overwatch or a new game mode instead.

We don't know exactly what Blizzard has in store for Overwatch fans at BlizzCon 2018, but fans will find out when the event kicks off on November 2.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
