It was recently revealed that Overwatch would be putting the Retribution map Rialto, which is located in Venice, into PTR this week. It has now been revealed that the map was not the only thing to be added to the PTR, as some character tweaks were introduced as well, with Hanzo getting the biggest overhaul.

The patch notes for the recent PTR update were released in Overwatch's official forums and detail what changes were made. Of course, the new map Rialto was at the top of the list and will be an escort map. Numerous heroes saw updates and adjustments, including new character Brigitte, along with Genji, Junkrat, and multiple others. The most significant changes, however, were made to Hanzo. His abilities were not only reworked, but some were replaced and added, as well.

Overwatch legendary skins Hanzo Lucio

The biggest change being made to Hanzo is that he will no longer have the Scatter Arrow ability. It has now been replaced by Storm Arrows, which will allow him to fire 6 arrows in rapid succession. The damage per arrow is reduced with this ability, but each arrow is shot with full power behind them. He also received a new Lunge ability which allows him to make a horizontal dash of sorts after he has jumped.

His remaining ability, Sonic Arrow, and Storm Bow weapon both saw adjustments, as well. The Storm Bow will now fire projectiles at an increased speed. Sonic Arrow saw its cooldown reduced to 12 seconds, while both the the radius and duration were reduced as well. Its radius is now at 7 meters and will only last for 6 seconds.

There is no word on when these updates will be available outside of the PTR. Usually, Blizzard waits for player feedback on bugs or other possible issues that patches could cause before releasing them outside of PTR. Of course, PTR is only on the PC version of the game, but changes made in it do make their way to the console versions after the patch has been tested to Blizzard's liking and any kinks are worked out. The full PTR patch notes, including changes to the other characters and other general fixes can be found here.

Overwatch's Retribution event is still going on, as well. Players have until April 30th to be able to participate in it for a chance to get some new skins and other in-game items.

Overwatch is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
