With the newest update for Overwatch having headed into PTR, which included not only the Rialto map, but a Hanzo rework, people have been busy trying out his new setup. It seems that it hasn't come without its hiccups, though, as an exploit or bug may have been found that makes one of Hanzo's new abilities a bit overpowered.

Posted by Reddit user ow_jaybee, a GIF shows a manipulation of his new Lunge ability, which allows Hanzo to make a horizontal mid-air dash after jumping, being used to great effect. The GIF in question shows that the Hanzo player was able to make it to the point on Overwatch's Lijang Tower map in less than ten seconds, where they were then able to ambush the opposing team's healer Zenyatta with a well placed headshot.

From the looks of the GIF, it seems the player was able to use the Lunge ability in such a way that the cooldown was almost nonexistent. This was possibly done by the player briefly changing which direction they were facing when activating the ability. Pairing that with effective cooldown management to begin with, this made it so that Lunge almost had no cooldown at all.

Blizzard did want to rework Hanzo a bit to make him more mobile with the Lunge ability, but it probably wasn't expecting this to happen. Bugs like this are one of the main reasons the PTR is in place, so new updates can be tested by the public and Blizzard can be made aware of any serious bugs or glitches and get them fixed before releasing them to the full game. As of right now, this is the only issue that has popped up in the newest PTR update.

Of course, there is no word when these PTR updates will make their way to the full game, as other issues may pop up. Speaking of the PTR, a rework of the Lunar Colony map was accidentally added to it sooner than intended. Overwatch fans also have until April 30th to take part in the Retribution event going on now.

Overwatch is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
