While some heroes are far less likely to get Play of the Game than others, every Overwatch character is capable of this accomplishment. While Torbjorn Play of the Games are rarely interesting, one Overwatch player has broken from the trend and shared a hilarious one.

The main reason that Torbjorn Play of the Games are usually lackluster is that many look the same. A majority of the time, Torbjorn’s big plays see the character’s turrets doing the work for him, with the AI-controlled guns racking up kills for the character. Molten Core is the other common sight for Torbjorn’s big plays, with the lava burning enemies to death while Torbjorn is off building a turret or getting health. One recent Play of the Game was somewhat similar in the sense that it featured several turret kills, but a few funny things set it apart.

Not content to stay away from the action, Redditor and Overwatch player LiquidBeans got up close and personal with Torbjorn’s Forge Hammer. While the tool is mainly used to repair turrets, it can also deal a bit of melee damage, especially after Torbjorn uses his Overload ability. This is exactly what happened in the clip, with LiquidBeans boosting their health and melee speed before charging at an enemy Mercy. They successfully beat the healer to death with the hammer, with their turrets picking up three other kills while this took place.

However, a Reinhardt player on the enemy team did not take too kindly to the Torbjorn user’s unique Mercy takedown. As soon as the Mercy is eliminated and the Torbjorn player sprays the ground, likely knowing that they have had the Play of the Game, they are tackled by the other team’s Reinhardt. The pin obviously kills the Torbjorn player, and it is funny to see them going from a dominant killing spree to being eliminated in just a few seconds.

Part of what makes the clip so silly is the yell Torbjorn lets out at the end of the clip, with the Overwatch music and logo playing as soon as he is killed. The comments were filled with players sharing their enjoyment of the clip, with Redditor DANTEDEFAULT pointing out that the video had everything a Play of the Game possibly could. DarryTheRipper’s description of the clip calls it “a roller coaster,” and it is hard to argue with this take. With over 7,000 upvotes, many Overwatch players clearly enjoyed the Torbjorn user’s success and failure.

While there have been some other memorable Eichenwalde clips shared recently, this Torbjorn play is tough to top in terms of sheer hilarity. For players looking to pick up some flashy kills with Torb’s Forge Hammer, it may be wise to double-check for a vengeful Reinhardt afterwards.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
