An artist known as RoyalAstray posted a piece of fan art on Reddit that features Mei from Overwatch battling against Team Fortress 2's Pyro. The art looks like it was ripped out of a comic book as Mei jumps over the plume of fire that Pyro is shooting at her. RoyalAstray's drawing features a nice amount of detail, from the glint in Mei's gun to the reflection seen in the ice in the lower corner. The artist states that they originally drew the work in 2018 and that it took them five days. The piece carries a bit of weight and intensity, and will likely appeal to fans of either Overwatch or Team Fortress 2.

RoyalAstray's artwork has earned some fans, with many stating that it is a great drawing and that they love the amount of detail put into it. A number of commenters have said that they want a true crossover between Overwatch and Team Fortress 2, with one fan mentioning that they would kill for an official comic miniseries showing the two go head-to-head. There was a bit of debate in the comments on who would win the battle, though Mei seemed to get a majority of the votes. Regardless of who would win, the piece is amazing and is a great homage to both series.

The drawing that RoyalAstray did of Mei and Pyro is not the only great mix-up featuring the shooter. A Redditor going by the name Em1liath drew Echo from Overwatch in the style of Adventure Time. The colorful piece shows Echo skipping through a field with a smile on her face. Her limbs are detached, and she now sports a skirt along with a fiery blaze on the top of her head. Em1liath also added BMO to the work, who is holding a bouquet of flowers for Echo. The drawing is incredibly cute and does a good job of bringing Overwatch into the world of Adventure Time.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
