Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again discussed his gaming habits, particularly those regarding the competitive hero shooter Overwatch. In a strange conversation with the Overwatch Twitter account, Elon reveals the hero he plays as most, and Blizzard jokingly buffs the character in response.

Back in 2017, Elon Musk called Overwatch “amazing”, praising the shooter and going on to describe it as “soothing” a year later. While Musk has not talked much about Overwatch in recent years, it appears the busy CEO and father still makes time to play the competitive hero shooter. Replying to one of Elon Musk’s random, silly tweets, YouTuber and Overwatch meme-maker Twomad posed the question “do u main torb on Overwatch.” Surprisingly, he got a response out of Elon.

With a comment that most people should find far less confusing than the name of Elon’s son, Musk simply replies to Twomad by saying “um ... yes.” The Overwatch Twitter account wastes no time getting in a response of their own, one that includes Torb’s turrets photoshopped on Mars. While most would expect the funny exchange to end there, Musk keeps the random back and forth going by telling Blizzard to “please buff Torb’s turret!” He then goes on to suggest adding two weaker turrets for Torb instead, a move that Musk believes will “allow more strategic degrees of freedom.”

While no major Torbjorn reworks have happened since 2018, the Overwatch team made a special version of Torb’s turrets just for Elon. Upping the ante and giving the hero three turrets instead of the requested two, but keeping them just as strong, the funny clip seems to be confirming Elon’s desires. That is until the turrets fly up into the sky, floating and killing two unsuspecting enemies with ease. With a caption “we heard you like rockets”, the clever SpaceX nod is the end of Overwatch’s side of the interaction.

Musk’s final response is a brief but funny comment of “..sweet,” bringing a brilliant conclusion to the odd Twitter exchange between the billionaire and the Overwatch Twitter account. While Overwatch was not originally mentioned as one of Elon Musk’s favorite video games, perhaps these Torb changes will make him love the game even more than he already does. At the very least, though, fans of Overwatch and Elon received a hilarious discussion thanks to Twomad’s random Torbjorn question.

Perhaps players will encounter Elon Musk within Overwatch’s Halloween event without even knowing it, though it is worth noting that the hero shooter is far from the only game to pay homage to the CEO of Tesla. With a random easter egg about Elon Musk found in Rage 2, it is likely that more games continue to acknowledge Musk in the future. If those acknowledgements are as funny as this Twitter exchange, however, remains to be seen.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
