Zelina Vega is a WWE Superstar signed to the Raw brand, but her career isn't all she's well-known for. Vega has shown in the past that she doesn't shy away from expressing her love of video games, and recently she paid homage to Overwatch with a new D.Va cosplay.

Vega has shown off multiple cosplays on her Instagram, and although she's cosplayed D.Va before, this take on the Overwatch hero is different than the outfit she posted in August. In Overwatch lore, D.Va is a skilled mech pilot who has proven to be very popular in the fandom, and cosplaying her is not an uncommon choice for Overwatch fans.

This year's SummerSlam, one of the WWE's biggest pay-per-view events, saw Vega wearing a Sombra cosplay, so the wrestler is clearly an Overwatch fan. She's fond enough of D.Va to play her again, this time standing in a pool and wearing a bikini swimsuit inspired by the hero. Her gun, headset, and makeup are clearly D.Va-inspired, and the swimsuit is bright blue and pink like the Overwatch hero's traditional colors.

Vega is known for creating detailed video game cosplays of characters like Loba from Apex Legends, but this D.Va swimsuit is clearly more inspired by the character than a true-to-game representation. Still, fan creators who put their own unique spins on characters while portraying them are a big part of the cosplay community, and it'd be difficult to find people who follow Vega that aren't aware she's a big Overwatch fan.

The wrestler also credits her photographer, Joey Wright, with capturing the photo of her in the swimming pool. With the poor performance of WWE 2K Battlegrounds, it's good to see some positivity in the overlapping area between video games and pro wrestling. Zelina Vega is definitely one of the most prominent pro wrestlers who shows her love of gaming, but other wrestlers have shown their nerdy sides, such as Superstar Xavier Woods being part of the PAX Online Dungeons & Dragons panel.

Given the fantasy nature of pro wrestling, it isn't surprising to see participants using their creativity to share their love of other interests like video games. Pikachu also showed up at this year's SummerSlam, though that was a fan dressing up rather than a wrestler. More pros like Vega have been cosplaying and publicly hyping up gaming, whether it's video games or tabletop RPGs, and many fans likely hope to see this trend continue.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
