Blizzard's popular hero shooter Overwatch is in an interesting spot at the moment, with Overwatch 2 on the horizon and players still getting used to some of the newer mechanics like Hero rotation. There's a few bugs currently impacting the game as well, including one which is having an unusual effect on D.Va.

In a new video clip from Reddit user NabitDMO, the glitch appears to happen once D.Va is forced outside of her mech. The Overwatch footage shows an enemy Reinhardt player knocking D.Va back and then pinning her with his charge attack. Enough damage has been done to the mech at this point to destroy it and forcing D.Va outside on foot but as the footage shows, she instead warps away from where her mech was on the other side of the map.

It's a bit odd and jarring but looking closer at the video may reveal why the weird situation happened. Right before the D.Va player gets pinned by Reinhardt's charge attack, she uses her thrusters in an effort to get away. It's at this very collision where the mech breaks, though the game likely got a bit confused and instead treats the player as if they got away with the boosters, rocketing the mech-less D.Va to where they would have ended up.

While most would classify this as a bug, it's something that seems to be more accidental and hard to replicate on demand. It's possible Blizzard takes a crack at it at some point, but for the time being, the team's priority seems to be focused on fixing the Play of the Game algorithm to reduce the emphasis on healers and support characters to instead really highlight impressive plays.

Overwatch is available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
