The Winter Wonderland event for Overwatch is live and ready for players to start jumping into the season's new activities and unlock specially-themed rewards. However, even though Blizzard has already released its own themed skins for Overwatch's event, that doesn't mean that fans don't still have their own suggestions of what they would like to see come to the game, either this year or in future Winter Wonderlands.

One fan in particular has shared a new design for D.Va to fit in with Overwatch's Winter Wonderland event, although it definitely takes a much more interesting approach to the theme than many of the official designs. Twitch streamer itmesuperb recently posted this new skin concept to Reddit, where other fans have quickly gone wild over its unique, seemingly Frozen-inspired, style.

This new design re-imagines D.Va and her powerful mech Tokki as two separate parts of a full costume, not unlike the two person horse costumes that have become a popular joke for Halloween specials. In the case of the Overwatch character, itmesuperb instead went with a reindeer to better fit the Winter Wonderland theme, but only Tokki becomes animal, with D.Va instead taking the form of a carrot in his mouth. The result is reminiscent of the ongoing bit between Sven and Olaf in the original Frozen, with the reindeer repeatedly attempting to eat the carrot that has become the snowman's nose.

Fans of the character have quickly begun commenting on the comical nature of the new skin, with most viewers voicing that they would love to see the design implemented into Overwatch's Winter Wonderland event. One comment even focused on the implications of the way that D.Va reenters her mech after having been ejected from it during her ultimate attack. Others kept their comments a little more tame, simply mentioning the cuteness of it, specifically focusing on Tokki's new face and big shiny eyes that come with it.

This year's Winter Wonderland in Overwatch already has plenty of new skins and interesting new designs, as is often the case for the ongoing title's limited events. However, it's always entertaining to see how fans can re-imagine characters and skins to make them their own. So, while itmesuperb's new version of D.Va probably won't make it into the game in this years event or future Winter Wonderlands, it's still one of many examples of how the fan community can keep a game fresh and new outside of creator input.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
