Blizzard's hero-shooter Overwatch celebrates the holiday season with its annual Winter Wonderland event, giving players the chance to try out limited-time winter-themed game modes as well as unlock a variety of festive skins. This year, Overwatch has also released some fresh art showing its characters celebrating the holidays in a cozy cabin, and the image is full of Easter eggs for fans to find.

The new Overwatch art tells fans to look for toys on a mantle, "nom worthy treats," an uninvited guest, and five jingle bells. Overwatch players are encouraged to check out the image for themselves to look for these details, but the toys on the mantle look a lot like the Overwatch Nendoroid figures, with Tracer, D.Va, Soldier, and Hanzo represented. The cookies are in plain sight, with Ashe's robot companion BOB holding a tray of cookies representing different heroes from the roster.

As for the characters who are actually represented in the image itself, it seems that this Christmas party features Support hero Mercy, Damage hero Ashe, Damage hero Genji, and Tank hero Wrecking Ball. The "uninvited guest" mentioned by Blizzard is likely in reference to Damage hero Reaper, who can be spotted looking in at the party through the window.

Another interesting detail Overwatch fans may notice is the picture hanging above the fireplace. The picture is of a promotional image for a past Winter Wonderland event, showing off the Winter Wonderland skins for characters Lucio, Mei, Torbjorn, Tracer, and the recently renamed Cassidy, who was known as McCree when the original image was released.

Overwatch fans have reacted positively to the Christmas art, with many saying that they want to see proper skins mimicking how the characters look in the art. It's unclear if Blizzard has any plans to produce official Winter Wonderland skins based on how the characters look in this Christmas art, but if so, the soonest it could happen would be next year's Winter Wonderland event, so fans shouldn't expect to see them added to the hero-shooter anytime soon.

Next year should prove to be an exciting time to be an Overwatch fan. While the Overwatch 2 release date is now not expected until late 2022 or 2023, fans should still be treated to updates on the long-awaited game that should hopefully shed more light on exactly what they can expect from the sequel whenever it finally releases to the masses.

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
