Overwatch's seasonal events are home to some of the game's best character skins. With the start of the Overwatch Halloween Terror event, Blizzard has revealed new terrifying skins for Brigitte and Lucio.

Recently, Blizzard unveiled the Overwatch Halloween Terror event, previewed skins for Roadhog, Echo, and Reinhardt that are up for grabs, and subsequently began the event today. For longtime players of the game, the Halloween Terror event should come as no surprise, it being an annual event that has been running since 2016, bringing new exclusive cosmetic items, special loot boxes, and game modes. One of the most iconic skins to have come from this event is Junkrat's Dr. Junkenstein skin, that goes along with the game mode Junkenstein's Revenge. The event is running from October 12 to November 2.

Blizzard has shown off the Halloween Terror skins for Brigitte and Lucio. Starting with the support Hero Brigitte, her Halloween Terror skin does away with her armor and transforms her into an outfit more befitting for a night of beast-hunting. She wears a long black cloak, with skull pauldrons on her left shoulder and knees, and her hair is now pitch white and styled more ornately. Brigitte's flail and shield have seen similar redesigns, looking quite gothic in nature, with skull ornaments and glowing green highlights.

Moving on to Lucio, gone away is the friendly and approachable support Hero, and in its place is a creature straight out of legend. "Satyr Lucio" as the name states, depicts Lucio as the half-man, half-goat creature, but with a bit more horror imagery to boot. Like a certain Hellboy Halloween Terror Lucio fan skin, Satyr Lucio has glowing red horns protruding from his forehead that match the glowing red patterns on his chest and arms. He wears medieval-looking armor plates on his shoulders and legs, retaining that signature slim-looking top, and bulky bottom. However, for a satyr, Lucio is lacking hooves.

These skins certainly look enticing, as most Overwatch skins are, but fans should consider Activision Blizzard's recent controversies before jumping to purchase them. The executives of Activision Blizzard have been hit with multiple accounts of workplace misconduct and sexual harassment, which has started to be processed in the legal world, but many are unhappy with the way the company has handled these events. One of the best ways for gamers to voice their opinion is unfortunately through their wallets, and yet, the developers who weren't responsible get caught in the crossfire. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how well these skins sell, as people choose to continue support Overwatch or not.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
