Four new skins have been revealed as part of Overwatch's upcoming anniversary event, giving new looks to Bastion, Pharah, Soldier 76, and Zarya. While this is probably not all the exclusive anniversary loot boxes have to offer, it's a good way to raise hype for the already highly-anticipated event.

The video below was released early on Overwatch's Chinese Facebook page and displays some of the new content that the birthday celebration update will bring when it launches next week. The skins that have been revealed are likely to be Legendary in rarity, given how different they are from the characters' standard appearances. Rarer skins such as these often come with alternative voice lines as well, making them all the more coveted.

What's interesting is that, so far, no real theme can be distinguished from the reveal. Usually each event has a specific influence, such as Halloween or Christmas, but aside from looking vaguely futuristic, we can't say for sure what the anniversary event has in store.

Something particularly notable is that Soldier 76 appears to have lost both of his legs and become more robotic than ever in his latest skin. At least now it makes a little more sense why the hero is suddenly unable to use his sprint ability when being hacked by Sombra in-game.

This is the first Legendary skin released for Zarya in a long time, though fan reactions online suggest that it'll take some getting used to for tank mains everywhere. Rocking a bright pink and white armor set, with a golden face mask, the Russian barrier-wielder looks oddly like she belongs in Nintendo's ARMS, rather than the popular FPS.

We don't have much more information about what the anniversary event is set to bring to the game at this point, though it seems that Blizzard will be dropping hints in the coming few days. Already we've seen new dance emotes, a sneak preview of upcoming voice lines, and a look at three new arena maps that will release when the event begins on Tuesday.

Overwatch is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
