Overwatch 2's second season has arrived, and it has added a brand-new hero to the game. That hero is a Tank known as Ramattra, and many players will undoubtedly be interested in taking him into battle. That said, fans will need to unlock Ramattra in Overwatch 2 before they can use him, and this guide is here to detail exactly how that is done.
Overwatch 2: How to Unlock Ramattra During Season 2
There are two options that are available to players that would like to unlock Ramattra during Overwatch 2 Season 2, and the Battle Pass is at the center of both of them. The first of those options is to purchase the Premium version of the Battle Pass for 1,000 Overwatch Coins. For the uninitiated, this quantity of Coins costs approximately $10, and players that pursue this first option will gain instant access to Ramattra.
Alternatively, fans can unlock Ramattra without spending any money by reaching Tier 45 on Overwatch 2's Season 2 Battle Pass. Notably, Kiriko, the hero that was first made available through the Season 1 Battle Pass, was not given to free-to-play players until they reached Tier 55. This means that the road to unlocking Ramattra should be shorter than road to unlocking Kiriko was, and that should please players that were overwhelmed by the grind in Season 1.
It is also worth noting that some of the weekly challenges in Overwatch 2 have been made easier with the release of Season 2, and that should contribute to shortening the amount of time that it takes to unlock the new hero further. That said, free-to-play players should make no mistake, they will need to put in a considerable amount of effort if they hope to unlock Ramattra without spending any real-world money.
Overwatch 2: How to Unlock Ramattra After Season 2
While it is not currently possible to provide definitive details on how Ramattra will be obtained following Season 2, it is reasonable to assume that the options will be similar to what was seen with Kiriko post-Season 1. Players should thus expect to have two ways by which they can unlock Ramattra once his Battle Pass expires. The first is to purchase the hero through the in-game shop, where he is likely to cost around 900 Overwatch Coins. And the second is to complete a series of challenges that will likely focus around his kit and securing wins with other Tanks in Overwatch 2.
