The Overwatch 2 PvP beta continues to be tested by select players so that Blizzard Entertainment can balance things ahead of its undisclosed release, and players are discovering some bugs and exploits as they play. One Overwatch 2 fan recently discovered a Roadhog exploit that makes his Ultimate ability way overpowered.

Reddit user Nerfgun3 has posted a clip from the Overwatch 2 beta in which they're in Training mode with Roadhog and are using an Ultimate in order to convey the difference between the Tank hero's old Ultimate versus the new one. As Roadhog was originally in Overwatch, the Whole Hog would unleash several powerful rounds from the Scrap Gun and players would wrestle with the recoil of the shots, but the changes made to Whole Hog allow players to time their shots more specifically. Because Overwatch 2 PvP beta players will have better control over the Ultimate ability, they may have an edge in combat that would've otherwise resulted in failure.

Nerfgun3's Overwatch 2 clip begins with the player explaining some changes made to Roadhog that were mentioned in the patch notes as they prepare to show off what the key difference is. Using Whole Hog, Nerfgun3 highlights that Roadhog's new Ultimate is in the player's hands as they choose how many rounds to fire from the Scrap Gun by clicking as if it were his normal weapon. This change will let Overwatch 2 players hit others more precisely with the Ultimate ability than they may have with its previous iteration, but Nerfgun3 has also shed light on a problem with this change.

Roadhog's new Whole Hog ability allows Overwatch 2 players to fire as many rounds of Roadhog's Scrap Gun as they want to cause maximum devastation, and Nerfgun3 shows this by quickly killing two training robots before slaying another Roadhog in the training area. The Overwatch 2 fan notes that this exploit is particularly effective with programmable mice. The speed that Nerfgun3 is able to dispatch these enemies with because of the changes to Roadhog in the Overwatch 2 PvP beta may be cause for concern for players that face off against the Tank hero before Activision Blizzard is able to rectify the exploit.

Although Nerfgun3 is able to shoot an insane amount of rounds from Roadhog's Scrap Gun in their Overwatch 2 clip, it's still unlikely that the character can hook or heal while using his Ultimate ability. The Roadhog changes portrayed by Nerfgun3's video may result in more Roadhog plays becoming Play of the Game as the Ultimate can't be interrupted either, but Activision Blizzard may hotfix the exploit during the beta. While the Overwatch 2 PvP beta is set to conclude later this month, the upcoming sequel may receive further testing to iron out any remaining problems like the one shown by Nerfgun3.
