A brand new Overwatch 2 player managed to execute an incredible D.Va play, though how much of the action can be attributed to actual skill and how much to luck is open for debate. What's certain though is that they pulled off some unique moves that not many Overwatch 2 players have been able to accomplish -- intentionally anyway.

With its release, the floodgates have been opened to clips and content all across the internet of fans sharing their love and frustrations with the game. The many launch issues surrounding Overwatch 2 were both a particular subject of the community's ire and a source for their meme-able creativity. Not all the content surrounding the game is negative though, with many examples of fun, exciting, and just plain goofy gameplay.

Reddit user YesImVeryBoring posted a clip of a friend of theirs playing with D.Va, a clip that, despite the user's name, is anything but boring. Opening on the Play of the Game screen featuring D.Va, the clip follows the player as they bumble their way through an epically destructive series of events, with jeers and heckles of "you're trash" being heard as it plays out. The player starts by using D.Va's notoriously dangerous ultimate ability, Self Destruct, taking out 3 of the enemy team in one fell swoop. Then, despite D.Va's ability to hop back into her mech being ready, the player opts to run around aimlessly, unprotected for a few seconds. They eventually turn around to face the action only to see two more enemy combatants on their tail. Quickly taking the opportunity to call the mech back, they bring it down directly on the head of the two enemies, reaching a 5-player kill streak.

And just like that, the entire enemy team is wiped since 5 players is the new standard team size, one of the big changes Overwatch 2 has introduced. YesImVeryBoring describes how they encouraged their friend to give the game a try since it's free-to-play, and in the comments, they mention the friend's shocking track record with D.Va's ultimate in their limited time. They and other users discuss players' uncanny tendency to frequently get drawn in and destroyed by the character's Self Destruct - especially new players.

Despite its rocky launch and all the issues plaguing Overwatch 2, it's still getting some positive fan attention. As Activision/Blizzard work to shore up the holes throughout the service, content like this clip serve as good publicity for the game. Despite the entirely accidental nature of the events recorded, fun and hilarious gameplay like this becomes a positive focal point that encourages fans to see the game in a better light.

Whether it's memes humorously deriding the game's faults or clips like this of unbelievable gameplay, fans are only seeing the tip of the Overwatch 2 iceberg. As the game grows and, hopefully, improves, the community is sure to be treated to much more content like this.

Overwatch 2 is out now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
