An Overwatch 2 clip that is excruciating for high-level players to watch shows a Reinhardt player in desperate need of healing requesting help from the nearby Moira, who relentlessly chases down an enemy Lucio instead. This is just one of many similar incidents seen in Overwatch 2 of support heroes focusing on gunning down enemies instead of providing much-needed healing to their teammates.

Though moments like this are far from rare, especially in unranked game modes, it is often Moira players that are seen ignoring teammates in order to secure eliminations for themselves. So much so, in fact, that Moira herself has become a meme within the Overwatch 2 community since the game's release at the beginning of the month entirely for this reason. Though this problem isn't a new one for the game, being seen plenty in the original Overwatch, the game's shift to a 5v5 format and limit of just 1 tank per team emphasizes the importance of healing.

The video was posted on Reddit by the user thatoneguyyouknowhim and shows the player as Reinhardt on a mere 14 HP while contesting the objective point. The player desperately asks for healing from the nearby Moira as they chase an enemy Lucio across the map, hoping that she comes back around to help. Unfortunately, while the Moira does come back, she simply walks past the dying Reinhardt and continues on her merry way, all while being shot at by an enemy Widowmaker. What's more, the Moira even fails to kill the Lucio, who swiftly delivers the final blow to Reinhardt while running from Moira.

As frustrating as situations like this can be for players, many fans can't help but find the absurd clip funny. Due to the influx of new players to Overwatch 2, after it launched as a free-to-play game, it's quite common to see new players utilizing heroes ineffectively as they learn the intricacies of the game. Though this can be understandably irritating for the more experienced players, it's important to remember that Overwatch 2 can be particularly tricky to learn at first, and it would go a long way for veteran players to offer help to new fans wherever possible.

Even so, it hasn't gone unnoticed by fans that Moira seems to be used for damage much more than other support heroes are, sparking a debate between some parts of the community on whether Moira's damage output should be scaled down a bit. Her primary attack has a surprisingly long range and doesn't require precise aim, and this paired with her damage orb and Ultimate ability gives the hero damage output on par with some DPS heroes. While no nerfs have been announced for Moira, some players are intent that Blizzard should introduce changes that incentivize healing instead of damage.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
