At this point, Overwatch 2 is a foregone conclusion, with numerous sources having leaked the game's existence prior to its likely BlizzCon 2019 reveal. Now there's been yet another Overwatch 2 leak, and this one comes directly from Blizzard itself.

The Blizzard Gear website briefly featured Overwatch 2 art, though it has since been removed from the site. The art shows the characters Brigitte, Echo, Genji, Mei, Mercy Reinhardt, and Tracer, all with slightly updated looks. The characters still look like themselves, though color schemes on their outfits have been tweaked here and there. The character that looks the most different is the cyborg ninja Genji, who is wearing clothes in the leaked Overwatch 2 art.

The character that fans may be most interested in seeing in the Overwatch 2 art is Echo, who was previously said to be the upcoming Hero 32. Echo was previously featured in the Overwatch "Reunion" animated short, which saw her being reactivated by McCree. It's been teased that Echo will play a major role in Overwatch 2's story, though some have disputed the claim that she will be Hero 32.

This piece of art, and the fact that it was removed shortly after being discovered, is the most damning evidence yet that an Overwatch 2 announcement is coming at BlizzCon 2019. Fans of Blizzard's hero-shooter will definitely want to tune in to BlizzCon 2019 on November 1 to see if there's any truth to the many rumors swirling about the game, especially since some of them suggest that Overwatch as we know it could be changed forever.

One of the biggest Overwatch 2 rumors is that the game will completely replace the original Overwatch. Essentially, Overwatch in its current state will cease to exist, and will be replaced by Overwatch 2, which will boast a new engine, a 4-player co-op PvE campaign, new maps, new game modes, and more.

Understandably, fan reaction to this rumor has been rather divisive, but it's worth pointing out that we don't know if it's true yet or not. Come Friday, November 1 at BlizzCon 2019, we should finally learn the truth about Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 is rumored to be in development for unspecified platforms.
