Players will notice another unique premium currency being discussed in Overwatch 2. The League Tokens seem to have a nebulous way of earning them, demanding activities outside of the game itself to accumulate any for free. But the process doesn't take too long.

For those who know what to do, Overwatch 2 rewards gamers for doing little more than watching the league they've grown to love. Or, at the very least, leave it on in the background while doing something else. Regardless of the individual's level of enthusiasm, here is how to earn these tokens.

Earning Tokens

Overwatch 2 How To Earn League Tokens
  1. Create a Battle.net account.
  2. Create a YouTube account.
  3. Link the two accounts.
  4. Watch official games on YouTube while logged in.

Earning free tokens is as simple as watching games, just be sure to link up the Battle.net and YouTube accounts first. As professional players win escort missions, players will get some tokens every hour and potentially some skins, too!

The skins and token quantities change depending on the game and, as of this writing, there was a maximum watch time cap placed on these earnings (the prior season was thirty hours). These can be purchased in the shop as packages from the tab in the following section for those who watch the rewards now or will want more cosmetics than the free tokens will give.

Checking On & Spending Tokens

To see if these tokens have arrived, check the shop. The unique blue currency represents the League Tokens. It can take some time to accumulate the rewards after watching the game. The website says to expect up to 48 hours, so be patient.

Some of the best skins in the game can be located in this tab. There are only flavorful seasonal skins, but scroll down and gamers can also find skins that represent their favorite team in the league.

Overwatch 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
