Over the past several days a wave of Overwatch 2 gameplay footage has been shared online, perhaps implying that Blizzard has relaxed its rules regarding sharing information online. Much of the gameplay focuses on how Overwatch 2 has changed compared to the original Overwatch. However, there are also Overwatch 2 alpha players sharing some of the fun things they've come up with, like this amazing clip of Orisa flying like a helicopter made in the alpha's Workshop. The clip comes from Reddit user andygmb, who says that they put it together in the Overwatch 2 alpha's Workshop. It features a cute pink Orisa first waving and then suddenly taking flight, using an ability to create helicopter blades from her arm. She doesn't go anywhere except up and there's nothing more to the short clip. It's just fun and ridiculous to see Orisa, of any Overwatch character, suddenly take flight.RELATED: Overwatch Details Massive Orisa and Doomfist ReworksThe reason that andygmb was able to accomplish their creation of a flying Orisa is rooted in the character's recently announced rework. Orisa's rework removes three of her original abilities and adds three new ones. One of those abilities is named Javelin Spin, which allows Orisa to destroy projectiles, push enemies, and also increases her forward speed. Putting that in the workshop means the forward speed can be changed to increase Orisa's vertical momentum in any direction, leading to helicopter Orisa.

In the comments, andygmb also explains that the Overwatch Workshop hasn't been changed in any way for the Overwatch 2 alpha. They used the same tools that all Overwatch players have access to in order to make helicopter Orisa, though they needed alpha access to be able to change her reworked abilities. Those won't be available to all Overwatch players until Overwatch 2 is officially available.

What's especially funny is that Overwatch fans have already latched onto how fun a flying Orisa is. Another player showed a clip of a similar setup they made for Orisa while playing the Overwatch 2 alpha, but from the first-person perspective. Another fan made an art piece showing Mercy choosing helicopter Orisa over Pharah as her flying partner.

Helicopter Orisa is a refreshing reminder of what Overwatch can be like when there's new content, big changes, and exciting things to come. All it took was a fun little clip for the community to excitedly embrace it. It's safe to assume that the sooner Overwatch 2 arrives, the better. Fans are hungry for more.

Overwatch 2 is currently in development.
