Overwatch 2 features hundreds of in-game sprays for players to use across the game's assortment of maps, but a fan believes these sprays could be more useful while customizing a hero. Alongside sprays, players can equip various accessories and cosmetics for each Overwatch 2 hero including skins, victory poses, and emotes.

Reddit user u/meme_review_hoster believes sprays could be useful as stickers to attach on an Overwatch 2 hero's weapon. Sprays would still serve their purpose as an external cosmetic, but players would be able to add these sprays to their weapon for additional flair. To demonstrate how a spray would look on a weapon, u/meme_review_hoster created a mockup image to depict a spray selection menu for weapons.

Using the Overwatch 2 spray menu as a reference point, u/meme_review_hoster created a mockup menu where sprays could be selected as stickers and applied on weapons. In the mockup, Cassidy may equip the "Boo!" Halloween Terror spray on his revolver. The player may select any spray currently available within Overwatch 2 to use as a sticker, adding to its current use case within the game. As shown in the mockup image, Cassidy would have access to nearly 400 stickers for his revolver.

Fellow Overwatch 2 players within the Reddit community welcome the idea since sprays would add more customization options to hero weapons aside from charms. Currently, Overwatch 2 players may customize heroes with skins, emotes, collectibles, victory poses, sprays, highlight intros, and weapon skins. However, the only weapon skin available alongside the default skin is the golden skin, which is unlocked by earning 3,000 competitive points. Hero skins may change the appearance of the weapon itself, but weapon skin option is limited to the aforementioned default and golden skins.

If Blizzard were to implement the sticker feature, Overwatch 2 players would be able to add their own personal touch to all the game's existing weapons. Additionally, the sticker option would add more value to the Overwatch 2's growing collection of sprays, making them even more appealing as a customization option for heroes.

For now, weapon charms and the golden weapon skins are the only ways that players can directly customize their weapons. Blizzard should consider player feedback regarding weapon customization while attempting to address Overwatch 2's persistent post-launch bugs. Stickers appear to be a desired customization option within the community, but Blizzard is currently preparing for the immediate future in Overwatch 2 Season 2.

Overwatch 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
