While Overwatch 2 has experienced a number of bugs following its release, one relating to the Kiriko Yokai achievement has been fixed. Kiriko is the latest support added to the Overwatch 2 roster, and as a result, many fans have been anxious to check out her abilities. Fortunately, this fix means that gamers should see their hard work in completing this achievement for Kiriko finally rewarded.

Overwatch 2 has been out for over a week, but the launch has not been without some complications and controversies. Since its release, Blizzard has faced DDoS attacks and bugs that have resulted in both Bastion and Torbjorn being temporarily removed from Competitive in Overwatch 2. In addition, some fans are upset with how cosmetics are earned in the free-to-play sequel. While there is still a long way to go, it looks like the developers at Blizzard are making headway on some of the issues affecting the team-based hero shooter.

In a recent patch, Blizzard noted that a broken achievement relating to Kiriko in Overwatch 2 had been fixed. This specific achievement, known as Yokai, requires the hero to do 1,500 healing and hit five critical hits with her Kunai before being eliminated. While this achievement initially failed to unlock for players even after accomplishing the required tasks, the developer has since fixed the bug and said that this Yokai achievement should work as intended. In addition, some players have confirmed they have managed to unlock it in-game.

While fixing this achievement bug for Kiriko is notable, it is not the only improvement made recently. In addition, Blizzard shipped a variety of other fixes in this patch aimed at solving sundry problems impacting gameplay for players. The issues supposedly resolved by the patch included various fixes for maps, heroes, and the competitive mode, along with some general bug fixes.

Beyond this recent patch for the game, Blizzard recently provided an in-depth update for Overwatch 2 in a blog post in which the developer talked about hero balance, map rotation, and competitive play. Among the details, the developer noted that Kiriko has started to settle into the Overwatch 2 meta. While she initially had a 75% pick rate following launch, the numbers have fallen back to a more desirable level, according to the developer.

It is good to see Blizzard making some progress on improving the stability of Overwatch 2, along with squashing a number of annoying bugs found in the game. While achievements such as Yokai for Kiriko do not impact the actual gameplay, they are something for gamers to work toward as they play matches and provide a sense of accomplishment when completed. Hopefully, the developer will be able to make even more improvements to the game sooner rather than later.

Overwatch 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
