The Overwatch 2 team has recently advertised some fancy new Overwatch 2-themed custom Xbox controllers, available right now from the Xbox Design Labs. The white, orange, and black aesthetic takes after the game's own primary color theme.

Overwatch 2 launched just a couple of weeks ago, bringing with it plenty of interesting new features and changes to spice up the popular online FPS. Though the title had a particularly rocky release period, it has taken both social media and the gaming community by storm over the past few weeks, introducing three new heroes, a new game mode known as Push, a range of new maps, and more.

The announcement came from the team's official social media pages, featuring a look at the white, orange, and black custom color configuration that can be applied to either a standard or Elite Xbox controller. The images grant fans a good look at the custom presets, and previewing the designs in the Xbox Design Lab allows for a complete look at the controllers from every angle. Players can even choose to alter the design if they wish, with some options being to add metallic triggers, colorful buttons, rubberized grips, and more.

The options extend even further beyond those, too - gamers can even tweak aspects of the color scheme to their liking and apply different patterns on top of the colorful controller. Though this particular aesthetic was pre-designed to fit Overwatch 2, the Xbox Design Lab allows for a remarkable level of flexibility and variation for controller designs, and gamers can create their own, completely unique controller by choosing a configuration of colors, patterns and materials with which to craft their controller with.

Xbox's Design Lab also allows for the design and customization of Elite controllers, Xbox's brand of professional controller featuring a switchable d-pad, thumbsticks, and paddles, as well as a sleek matte finish. Though these controllers certainly have their benefits, wandering into the realm of Elite controllers can be costly, so they might not be the right choice for everyone.

Even so, these new custom designs have surely caught the eye of many dedicated Overwatch 2 fans, and will give many players in need of a new controller an excuse to finally grab one. As Overwatch 2 reaches a record high in terms of players, fans who continue to enjoy the game's first season will now be able to celebrate the launch of the new title in a very fun and unique way.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
