An Overwatch 2 player shared a clip showing how Cassidy's ultimate may be broken, but not in the way Cassidy mains would like. In the first year of Overwatch 2, players have seen many diverse bugs haunting Blizzard's hero shooter. A common case has been abilities not working as they should, which may be happening with one of the game's most iconic ultimates.

There has been no shortage of debate in Overwatch 2 Season 3 about many different aspects of the game. The community is known for being very vocal in pointing out the problems in Blizzard's game, offering frequent feedback to the developers. While the mission of balancing Overwatch 2 is not easy, the devs actively work to provide the best experience possible with patches fixing bugs, glitches, and other issues. Now, on the ever-growing list of problems, the devs may have to add a potential issue involving one of Overwatch 2's veteran heroes.

A fan on Reddit shared the clip of a match playing Cassidy, and the hero missed the ultimate in the most unlikely way possible. The player is in a quick play match when they find and take down an opposing D.Va. Cassidy moves forward and finds an enemy Soldier:76, and the player decides to use the hero's ultimate, Deadeye, to eliminate the opponent. Cassidy can use Deadeye to create really impressive plays, but for this player, unfortunately, that was not the case. Instead of eliminating Soldier: 76, Cassidy misses his ultimate at a really short distance and is eliminated.

The clip received over 5,000 upvotes and many comments where other users shared the player's "pain." They also said that the inconsistency of Cassidy's ultimate is a recurring and well-known problem within the community. One of the comments also cited the content creator Marblr, who gave an in-depth analysis of how Deadeye works. While Cassidy's grenade is famously powerful, Marblr shows that yes, despite its name, Deadeye can miss a lot.

Broken Overwatch 2 ultimates are not unheard of, especially for those who have been playing Blizzard's game since its launch. Some cases have been so extreme that some Overwatch 2 heroes have become really powerful because of bugged ultimates. The issue with Cassidy's ultimate has not yet been commented on by Blizzard, so players are still waiting to see when the devs will finally acknowledge the potential problem with the hero.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
