Several months ago, Overkill Software revealed Aidan, the first playable character in its upcoming The Walking Dead game, with the studio then releasing footage for the second playable character, Maya, just a few weeks ago. Now, the company has decided to continue eking out details about the title's cast by putting out a fresh cinematic trailer that offers an idea of what to expect from the third playable character, Grant.

As seen below in the latest trailer for Overkill's The Walking Dead, Grant is depicted as an older gentleman who is shown carrying a trusty sniper rifle, and he is roaming an interstate highway on foot that's headed toward Washington D.C. As far as his personality is concerned, Grant seems to have a dark sense of humor, as he sits in the passenger seat of a station wagon while taking pulls off a whiskey bottle and reminiscing about his granddaughter to a jawless zombie trapped by a seat belt in the driver's seat.

While the cinematic trailers released thus far for Overkill's The Walking Dead are truly remarkable in their writing and visuals, it's a safe bet to make that most fans are itching to see some actual gameplay in action. Since such assets remain absent, though, all we can do is speculate on the characters' abilities at this point. So, with Aidan presumably being an up-close-and-personal fighter – a baseball bat is his weapon of choice – and the former nurse Maya potentially being a healer of some kind, it's likely that Grant is a long distance character due to his wielding of a sniper rifle.

With three folks having been unveiled for Overkill's The Walking Dead so far, fans still have one more personality to encounter, with an unknown redheaded woman set to round out the cast of playable characters. Although little is still known about each of the figures, it has been confirmed that each will be customizable in the way of unlockable skins so as to give them an added sense of flair. Hopefully, though, Overkill will grace fans with some concrete gameplay soon.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is currently scheduled to release in fall 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
