Nintendo has been putting forth game trials as a part of its online membership recently, as Dead Cells was most recently available as a trial with Nintendo Switch Online. Now a chaotic couch co-op multiplayer game is next on the list.

Overcooked 2 reviewed quite well a few years ago when it released in 2018. While it is a popular game, there are likely many who have not yet had the chance to enjoy it, so it being a title that is temporarily free with Nintendo Switch Online is a nice gesture from The Big N.

For now, Overcooked 2 is confirmed to be a trial game with Nintendo Switch Online in Europe, but it certainly could come to other regions. The trial will last from February 10, 2021, through February 16, 2021. Overcooked 2 allows players to cook up various dishes for customers in topsy-turvy fun in kooky and crazy settings. The co-op nature of the game only adds to the insanity, often riding the line between delicious teamwork and a kitchen that is in flames.

The week-long trial on the Nintendo Switch is great for fans, but it is also intriguing in that Overcooked 2 was just added to Xbox Game Pass. Nintendo Switch Online provides a solid service with classic NES and SNES games, along with trials and even games like Tetris 99, but it certainly does not look quite as good when a week-long trial is added to the service when compared to the same game being inside of Xbox Game Pass and available to play indefinitely. Regardless, Overcooked 2 is certainly a game that can be enjoyed on any platform with friends and family.

Overcooked 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
