Outriders: Worldslayer – What to Expect

The biggest addition being made to Outriders through the upcoming expansion is the extra 6-12 hours of campaign content. Outriders: Worldslayer picks up after the events of at the end of Outriders, as players must face Ereshkegal, the true leader of the Insurgent faction. She is a formidable foe, and gamers will need to defeat her before she can enact her devastating plan for Enoch's human population. During their quests, players will be able to explore a whole new area of the hostile Outriders planet Enoch, which is covered in snow and ice and frequented by terrible blizzards. Within this new area, Outriders will also face new types of enemies in their journey toward stopping Ereshkegal.

To aid them on their adventure through the cold new area, the Worldslayer expansion offers nearly 100 new Legendary weapons and gear for players to find and equip. Among the new gear will be two new Legendary armor sets for each of the four Outriders classes. The max level cap for gear has also been increased to 75, and a gear drop have a chance to include a third modification slot for players to maximize its potential.

New faces to the land of Enoch won't have to worry about grinding their way up the max level in Outriders as People Can Fly is offering character boosts to those who purchase the Worldslayer expansion. Those who are keen on jumping straight into the action will be able to utilize the character boosts and create characters that will immediately start at level 30.

Outriders: Worldslayer will also be featuring a couple of new ways to further customize and strengthen their characters. The PAX skill tree is one of the new progression paths which will be adding two new subclasses, bringing the total up to four – Devastator, Pyromancer, Technomancer, and Trickster. Alongside the PAX tree is the 'Path to Ascension,' which can be unlocked with 200 points. This skill tree takes XP gained after players hit level 30 and provides them with further customization possibilities to enhance their character's strengths.

In addition to the new story content and customization methods comes new endgame content, giving Outriders fans more reason to grind. After completing Worldslayer's story, players have the option to face the 'Trial of Tarya Gratar.' Within this Trial is a type of 'choose your own adventure' dungeon where Outriders have varying branches of paths to choose from in order to progress through the dungeon and obtain loot. The Trial of Tarya Gratar will also offer 'targeted loot,' offering players the few remaining pieces of gear they need to complete specific gear sets that they own.

The Outriders: Worldslayer expansion releases June 30, 2022, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
