Outriders hasn’t been out a year yet, but that doesn’t mean People Can Fly hasn’t been hard at work taking the looter shooter game to the next level. With its recent broadcast, PCF and Square Enix have showcased Outriders New Horizon to the world, a brand new update filled to the brim with content.

There are a lot of changes and additions in this new and free update, which releases on November 16. One big addition is the new transmog system in Outriders, and it’s one of the most thorough, simple, and best approaches seen thus far in a game. But, for endgame content, Outriders is making quite a few big changes and tossing in some more on top of that.

Outriders New Horizon Expedition Updates

The big game-changing update with Outriders expedition is that they are now, by default, played without a timer. This means players can take all the time they want, that Outriders’ build diversity can take precedence over raw DPS, and that no class is made inequal in this endgame content. Players who enjoy timed runs can turn them back on, but this doesn’t mess with the potential loot. It’s only a bragging rights thing.

To make legendary weapons and armor in Outriders more easily obtainable too, the Eye of the Storm now gives players a choice between three random legendary items upon completion. This is likely to make it an even more popular Expedition than it was before, but it makes sense here too since this is the Expedition to end all Expeditions.

Speaking of legendaries, Outriders New Horizon also aims to make Tiago even more useful. Not only can players purchase random legendary items straight through him, but players can re-roll Tiago’s elite offer stock to try to find something more fitting for their character. Overall, these are some highly demanded and smart changes that should make Outriders’ endgame even more enjoyable.

Outriders’ New Horizon Adds Four More Expeditions to the Endgame

Alongside these changes, Outriders players can tackle four new Expeditions after downloading the New Horizon update. In the Molten Depths, players return to Eagle Peaks to tackle a hidden Power Station. This is the lowest tier Expedition added in the update, simply requiring Tier 1. Many may remember Eagle Peaks for its Molten Acari boss battle, as well as the general terrain, really showing what makes Outriders environments so special.

The second two are the City of Nomads and Marshal’s Complex. The first is a tier 4 expedition in Outriders and requires players to aid the Wandered in protecting an old, unexplored Pax village. Who knows, maybe even something new about the Pax will be learned here. The second is listed as a tier 8 expedition, where Grand Marshal Korrigan sends players to a facility overtaken by insurgents. Outriders fans will soon learn there’s more than meets the eye here.

And finally, there’s The Wellspring, a tier 12 Outriders expedition and likely the crown of these four new missions. In it, Tiago tells players of a Pax pilgrimage site, and they must clear it out to find riches left behind by the Pax. An ongoing Outriders Anomaly storm that keeps getting stronger and stronger raises the ante quite a bit and adds a lot to the experience of The Wellspring.
